Data Engineer

We are looking for Python Data Engineers. We have a range of prestigious clients from different industries, such as finance, insurance and software consulting. Most positions offer the option of hybrid remote work, but residency in Switzerland is a must. Clients are based in Zurich, Bern, Lucerne, or Winterthur.

Your Role:

• You will design and develop software components and document, implement and test them. You are responsible for the client- and server-side frameworks as well as the creation and administration of databases. You might be in touch with clients and start taking on significant positions such as software architect or lead developer. Exact role description differs from client to client. We will present you with as many options as possible.

Your Profile

• A university degree or comparable education in IT or another technical specialization and 2+ years of work experience as a Software or Data Engineer, preferably in the financial industry.
• You have a solid understanding of and experience in software development, with knowledge of solution architecture and technical design skills.
• You are proficient with Python and/or PySpark as well as with object-oriented programming and experience with analyzing big data sets from disparate sources, applying quantitative methodologies and using computational frameworks and systems
• You have experience in building data warehouse applications on distributed computing systems, designing data pipelines, and querying structure data (SQL)
• Experience using Agile principles in small functional teams with exposure to all phases of the systems development lifecycle is a plus.
• Profieceny in written and spoken English is required. Fluency in German would be preferred. Any other language is a distinctive advantage

Job Type: 80-100%

Salary: CHF110,000.00 - CHF130,000.00 per year
